Deuterium lamps and bulbs

HID (high intensity discharge); Specialty Arc
The high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps category includes mercury vapor, metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamps. HID lamps produce a large quantity of light in a relatively small package when compared to fluorescent and incandescent lamps. They are manufactured by GE, Philips, Osram, Ushio and others.

Hollow cathode lamps and bulbs
Hollow cathode lamps, for use in Atomic Absorption (AA) Spectroscopy, laser wavelength calibration (opto-galvanic effect) and for Smith-Heiftje background correction, come in single, two, three, four and six element lamps. These lamps are available in 1½ “ and 2” data coded and non data coded versions for all manufacturers’ instrumentation including Perkin Elmer, Varian, Shimadzu, GBC, Hitachi, Unicam, Thermo Jarrell-Ash, Zeiss and others.

Incandescent lamps and bulbs
Incandescent lamps, all voltages and wattages are available from multiple manufacturers including Bulbrite, Dr. Fischer, GE, Narva, Osram, Philips, Satco and Ushio.

IR infrared lamps and bulbs
Infrared (IR) lamps are also known as heat lamps or infrared emitters. IR lamps use little energy, heat quickly (heat is determined by wattage) and emit little light. These lamps are manufactured by GE, Osram, Philips, Ushio and others.

Tungsten halogen lamps and bulbs
Tungsten halogen lamps are incandescent light sources that use a halogen gas. The halogen gas suppresses filament evaporation by a chemical regeneration process. Tungsten halogen lamps are generally compact and create a focused beam.

UV germicidal
Bulbtronics is a leading distributor of UVC bulbs for sterilization applications. UV germicidal lamps transmit UV light at 254nm. This wavelength is lethal to microorganisms and prevents the reproduction of various bacteria, viruses and mold spores by preventing DNA replication.
