Find Out What Halogená Replaces Your Incandescent:

Death Comes to the Incandescent in 2012

Yes it’s true. On December 19, 2007, President Bush signed the Energy Independence and Security Act - an energy bill that will phase out the incandescent bulb over the next dozen years paving the way for more efficient fluorescent, halogen, and LED light bulbs. The law states the incandescent bulb must use 25 to 30 percent less energy by 2014 and by 2020 be 70 percent more efficient than they are today. The phase-out will begin with the 100-watt bulb in 2012 and end in 2014 with the 40-watt.

“Energy-efficient bulbs are a better idea,” says Andrew DeLaski, Executive Director of the Appliance Standards Awareness Project (ASAP). "It's hugely important," he says. "A 60 to 70 percent reduction in light bulb energy use will save as much energy annually as that used by all the homes in Texas last year."

That's Amazing Savings!

Bulbtronics - Believe-a-Bulb...or Not!...
Standard light bulbs will lose up to 45% of their light output with use. However, you continue to pay for the full wattage of the bulb! For example, a 100 watt bulb on 12 hours a day will give about 55 watts of light after 5 weeks of use, but you're still paying for 100 watts of electricity!
