Standard and specialty lamps and light bulbs for industrial and commercial facilities
Bulbtronics maintains a large stock of standard and specialty fluorescent, germicidal, halogen, HID, sodium vapor, incandescent, infrared, LED, mercury, strobe and xenon lamps for all types of facilities. Lamp manufacturers are responding to customer demand by producing a growing variety of energy efficient lamps including compact fluorescents, fluorescents, LED Exit Sign lamps and LED’s.
*Compact fluorescents are an energy savings alternative to incandescent lamps as they have a much longer life - 6,000 to 20,000 hours compared to 750 to 1000 hours for a standard incandescent. Compact fluorescent lamps, many with an integral ballast (either iron or electronic), have standard screw bases and can be installed into table lamps or lighting fixtures, replacing incandescent lamps. We stock compact fluorescent lamps and fixtures from Daybrite, Lamar, Mercury, RapidLite, Metalux, LSI and more.
*LED’s, light emitting diodes , are being used more and more to illuminate exit signs as they are an energy efficient and cost effective alternative to traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps. These LED lamps use about 2 watts of power as compared to about 20 to 30 watts for incandescent lamps and 10 to 18 watts for compact fluorescent lamps. In addition, rated lamp life for LEDs is about 200,000 hours compared to about 5000 hours for incandescent lamps and 10,000 hours for fluorescent lamps. While the cost of using LED lamps is higher, payback periods for LED signage is estimated to be two to three years compared to incandescent signs and about 5 years compared to fluorescent signs. Retrofit kits are available to fit any base type – candelabra, DC bayonet, intermediate, and PL base.
